Human Response Network is pleased to announce that the 2025 Community Engagement Agreement (CEA) Request for Applications (RFA) is now open! This funding opportunity supports local efforts to reduce the harms of commercial tobacco in Trinity County through education, policy, and community engagement.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to foster awareness and support efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of children in our community. In 2024, Trinity County Child Welfare Services (CWS) received approximately 200 reports of child abuse, highlighting the urgent need for prevention and support.

Trinity County will hold its annual Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) Count on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Events will take place at two locations: the Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Weaverville and the Human Response Network office in Hayfork.

The Great American Smokeout is a national awareness program by the American Cancer Society (ACS) to talk about the effects of smoking and encourage people to quit using tobacco products. Human Response Network’s (HRN) Tobacco Education Program (TEP) is expanding efforts to reach more areas of Trinity County this year to support people who want to quit.
