Parenting Can Be Hard. We Are Here to Help.
Even with all the parenting books and information that is available online, sometimes parents need more personal support. It can be challenging to navigate today's problems and overwhelming to decide what children need in the moment. This can lead to feeling stuck in unhealthy patterns or just generally frustrated. Every parent struggles at one point or another and it's okay to need a little help.
Free Online Parenting Classes for Trinity County
This is why the Human Response Network (HRN) is offering free online Parenting Classes via Zoom. Two 8-week classes will be offered for parents and other caregivers of different age groups. One set of classes is for parents and caregivers of children from birth through 9 years old and begins on Wednesday, May 6. A class for parents of youth ages 10 through 18 will begin Thursday, May 7th. Both classes will be held online from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The classes will be informal workshops led by a local instructor from HRN with over 15 years of experience providing parenting education. Classes are based on the Nurturing Parenting curriculum with content chosen to meet participant needs and interests. Class size will be limited to 15 participants each.
HRN's goal is to provide support for the parents in our community. We will be using the Nurturing Parenting Program to facilitate families living together in caring and supporting homes. This class will encourage and promote cooperation, respect, self-worth, and overall help improve quality of life through healthy family relationships.
