Human Response Network (HRN) is seeking a full time Community Engagement Coordinator for the Tobacco Education Program who is passionate about creating positive changes in Trinity County. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with community members, local organizations, and youth to promote a tobacco-free culture and provide tobacco education outreach. The Community Engagement Coordinator facilitates the youth and adult coalitions and assists in conducting tobacco education and public health policy related activities.
Purpose of Position: The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for developing relationships with adult and youth community members, organizations, and businesses in Trinity County in order to further prevention program goals and broaden community engagement. The position is also responsible for providing outreach and education, and engaging youth and adult community members in prevention coalitions, groups, events, and activities.
Qualifications: High School Diploma required. Associates degree in social science, public health, or a related field preferred. One year of experience in a related social service, public health, or youth development field preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
Starting wage for the position is $3,101 to $3,194 per month, DOE plus benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage; paid vacation and sick time; and agency contributions to a retirement fund.
